The Institute of Packaging Professionals

The Institute of Packaging Professionals is dedicated to creating networking and educational opportunities that help packaging professionals succeed. IoPP is committed to leadership in packaging through the continuing education and growth of its members and other packaging professionals.

Certified Woman-Owned Small Business

Larson Packaging Company is a certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB). To be eligible for this distinction, the business must be at least 51% unconditionally and directly owned by women who are U.S. citizens, and hold the highest position within the company. In addition, the business must be small according to the SBA’s size standards.

The federal government must award 5% of its prime and subcontract dollars to women-owned small businesses.

The Reusable Packaging Association (RPA) is a non-profit trade organization representing and promoting the common and pro-competitive business interests of member suppliers and users of reusable packaging products and services. RPA connects the industry to expand, innovate and validate reusable packaging systems.

American Society for Quality

ASQ Certifications are recognized as a mark of quality excellence in many industries. By earning accreditation LPC demonstrates that its business and processes have been reviewed by impartial experts who have determined that our organization meets the ASQ quality standards.

San Diego East County Economic Development Council

The East County Economic Development Council promotes the importance of a healthy, vital economic climate and quality of life in San Diego’s East County. Larson Packaging Company scores 99 on the scale used to gauge adherence to NIST’s Special Publication 800-171 requirements for manufacturers operating within supply chains tied to government contracts.

ITAR Registered

ITAR Registered

Larson Packaging Company is ITAR registered. The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is a set of U.S. government regulations that control the export and import of defense-related articles, services, and related technical data. ITAR registered companies must register and keep their registration current with the Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), which oversees the US Munitions List (USML).

RoHS Compliant and Reach Compliance

ROHS and Reach-Mindful Production

Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) is a European Union (EU) directive restricting the use of 10 hazardous substances such as lead and mercury in electrical and electronic equipment to control e-waste and protect human health. We’ve made following this directive part of our everyday design efforts and have the design capabilities to work in any material and achieve these goals. Our raw materials do not contain these substances and our manufacturing processes do not add them. Our packaging meets the standards set by RoHS.

Additionally, our packaging meets the regulated requirements of the EU’s REACH- 235 SVHCs (Substances of Very High Concern) list set out by the European Chemicals Agency.
