About First Class Packaging
First Class Packaging Incorporated, a privately held company, was established in 1987 and incorporated in 1993. We design, manufacture, and distribute packaging materials; specifically corrugated shippers, foam cushioning, plastic, reusable shipping containers, and wood crating. Our specialty is developing protective, innovative, and cost effective packaging solutions.
First Class Staff
Our chief advantage over our competition is our innovative approach to packaging problem solving. By utilizing the diversified talents of our design staff and engineering support, we are able to consistently devise packaging solutions that not only solve our client's problems but save money as well.
We have highly experienced sales and support employees. Our people bring a wealth of experience from within the local packaging industry as well as skills acquired through former employment in a number of major San Diego manufacturing facilities. This allows us to pool our skills in an efficient, cost effective, direct approach when working with clients. We place special emphasis on conscientious customer service. Your satisfaction is our first priority.
President
Our founder and company president is Sandra Brock. She has been involved in the packaging industry in San Diego for over 34 years in a sales, management and ownership capacity. She was able to successfully open her own business 20 years ago.
Staffing
Our full-time staff includes design, production, administrative, and sales personnel. We feel that this broad range of talented personnel, gives us an important edge when it comes to designing and producing creative, effective packaging solutions for our clients. Our normal hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Periodically we run a second or weekend shift to meet customer needs.
Facility Location/Size
Our headquarters, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities are located at 280 Cypress Lane in El Cajon. Our facility covers approximately 22,000 square feet with over 80% devoted to manufacturing.
Special Customer Programs
We offer special-purchasing plans tailored to each customer's individual needs. These include blanket purchase order contracts and pricing agreements based on annual sales minimums and other criteria. We have normal discount terms of 1% 10 Net 30 to customers upon credit approval and also offer the convenience of payment using Visa, Master Card, or American Express. First Class Packaging Incorporated is certified as a small business woman- owned, disadvantaged business (SDB-WBE) by the Small Business Administration (SBA), as well as Department of General Services (DGS) First Class Packaging Incorporated is listed on Pro-Net as well as CCR and our cage code number is OGKO1.
Custom Capabilities
We have complete design capability in custom corrugated packing, foam fabrication, reusable shipping containers, crates and pallets. We have two in-house designers and the full support of a team of packaging engineers and testing labs through our vendor/fabricator network. We offer in-house design services and standard prototypes at no charge. We also offer fragility assessment, vibration and drop testing, and NSTA testing to our customers.
Our manufacturing facility has full manufacturing capability in foam fabrication and wood crate fabrication. We have equipment for saw cutting, die cutting, laminating, heat sealing and hot wire cutting for foam products. We design all of our prototypes in house using CAD and Solid Works Program.
We are an Authorized Dealer for well-known reusable shipping container manufacturers. These include Harding Cases, Pelican Cases, and Flambeau Cases. We work closely with these manufacturers to provide the optimum case configuration for the customer. We then provide the design and manufacture of the interiors to produce custom fitting for the customer's product.
